PROFESSIONAL SECURITY OFFICERS
A security officer is a uniformed professional, fully trained and knowledgeable of all post orders, operation logs, procedures, practices and site layout. The security guard protects property against theft, arson, property damage, and terrorism. This officer is trained in customer service. He or she is on site to provide a concierge service as well as deter, detect and report any incidents which may occur.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be 18 years of age or older
Ability to speak, read, write and understand the English language
Writing basic incident reports
Testify in court
Interview witnesses or victims
Prepare case reports
Contact police, fire, or emergency medical services via radio and/or telephone
Must be able to work flexible hours 7 days / week
Must be able to work a 40 hour work week
Must be able to work shift work
Must be able to walk and/or stand during an entire 8 hour shift
Must be able to stay alert for 8 hours
Possess a neat, clean, and presentable appearance
Must be able to pass extensive background screening including, but not limited to:
drug screening (five panel tests)
FBI fingerprint check
SSN trace

NEW OFFICER TRAINING
NEW OFFICER INTRODUCTION PROGRAM
The New Security Officer Introduction Program functions as part of the Eagle employment screening process. It offers prospective employees an introduction to the fundamental responsibilities of a professional security officer, as well as complying with state mandated licensing standards. Candidates must successfully complete this screening process as a condition of being hired.

HAZARDOUS COMMUNICATION AWARENESS
This course explains how material hazards are communicated. Security personnel learn to identify hazards from warning labels, use material safety data sheets, and minimize exposure risks with personal protective equipment.

BLOODBORNE PATHOGENS
In compliance with OSHA requirements, this program educates employees about the nature of bloodborne pathogens and related safety precautions.

Meeting the Highest Professional Standards: ASIS Guidelines
The American Society for Industrial Security, (ASIS) has drafted guidelines for the training and selection of private security officers. These guidelines recommend 48 hours of training in specified topics within an officer’s first 100 days of employment. To meet the requirements, security officers must pass written examinations to demonstrate understanding of subject matter.

Eagle Security Services offers employees a three-level professional career development path, starting with core competencies and building to advanced professional skills.
LEVEL 1
Functions as part of the Eagle Security Services employment screening process. Focusing on basic security officer skills exceeding many state-mandated minimum standards required for beginning security officers. Candidates must successfully complete this screening process as a condition of employment.
LEVEL 2
Focuses on career development including site-specific training as well as Eagle Security Services premier Certification Training Program. Officers with Level One competencies are qualified to advance to Level Two.
LEVEL 3
Offers rigorous, specialized training for officers who seek continued development beyond Level Two. Working with their managers to select appropriate courses, officers may choose advanced study in topics such as homeland security, workplace violence, risk assessment, emergency management and more.
